Leptogaster, not Tipulogaster
Actually, this is one of the Leptogaster species that also has the shellacked scutum look. Perhaps L. aegra, but I need to study some of the other options more. You can tell it's not a Tipulogaster by the antenna-- Tipulogaster have a long postpedicel (aka first flagellomere) and short stylus, whereas Leptogaster have a short postpedicel and long stylus, like we see here. Note also the black band on the hind femur is in a different location from in T. glabrata.
