Spider in North Las Vegas, NV - Hogna antelucana
North Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada, USA
August 2, 2011
Size: big
this huge spider was outside our front door. Please help me identify this spider and should I be concerned?

Moved from Wolf Spiders.

Moved from Frass.

Moved from ID Request.

Don't be alarmed.
It's not a dangerous spider. It looks to me like a large Wolf Spider, family Lycosidae. If you let it stay, it will take care of several pests for you.
