corylophid - Sericoderus

corylophid - Sericoderus
Nashua, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, USA
May 31, 2006
Size: about 1.2mm tucked
Here the beetle is in tucked position and measures about 1.2mm. It appears to have a texture on elytra and pronotum that I hadn't noticed in any other corylophids I've found. With something this small you probably need to get the light from just the right angle to see any texture.
