Elaphrus sp. - Elaphrus ruscarius

Elaphrus sp. - Elaphrus ruscarius
Richfield, Juniata County, Pennsylvania, USA
May 26, 2006
Found in a swampy, bog area with a lot of rotten leaves. The specimen did not last long enough till I got around to photographing it. The pose may not be natural in this photo.

Elaphrus ruscarius
From what I can see in this shot, I would say this is Elaphrus ruscarius. Neat find!

Thanks!
I was thinking the same thing myself. I don't see any white hair on the hind femur.
