Spider - Argiope trifasciata

Spider - Argiope trifasciata
Fairfield, Somerset County, Maine, USA
August 9, 2011
Size: body approx 10mm
First I thought this was Argiope aurantia but the web did not have any zigzag or pattern in the middle...
Can this be identified from this view? Is this a female?
I did not want to disturb it for a dorsal view, sorry...

juvenile argiope
I have a feeling it's a juvenile Banded Argiope (Argiope trifasciata). I assume it is not mature, since I can't see the scape.

Thanks a lot, Lynette!
