Moved from Lema. Thanks, everyone!

daturaphila
based on the width of the elytral maculae and apparent lack of black around orbits.

Was there any
Dayura or Jimpsonweed in the area?

Maybe
It was right where the corn field meets the wild prairie, and there was everything growing there. I'll ask my wife, she knows plants better, and she was actually looking at the plants trying to ID and photograph them.

Solanaceae of Doolittle Prairie
At John's request, I checked the comprehensive plant species list for Doolittle Prairie. Jimsonweed (Datura) has not been observed there, but other members of the Nightshade family (Solanaceae) that do occur there are Physalis heterophylla, P. virginiana, and Solanum americanum.
