Calligrapha sp.
Gee, you must have extraordinarily large hands if that beetle is "75 mm" :-) Seven point five is probably more like it, eh? Anyway, it is something in the genus Calligrapha, family Chrysomelidae. Knowing the host plant as you do might give you the species.
