Hopefully we'll get more of these posted on BugGuide separated to species, or at least to genus, before too much longer. They can be rather difficult to identify just from a photo.

The ant is interesting. I wonder if the Cricket was trying to kick it off when it got stabbed.

Thank you. The photo isn't the clearest for an I.D., but I had to post it once I saw the ant - probably just a case of it being in the way when the cricket kicked off in a jump?
