Interesting Spider with spikes on abdomen = Arrowshaped Micrathena (Micrathena sagittata) - Micrathena sagittata - Female

Size: 1 cm
According to a local entomologist...."This is an Orb weaver in the family Araneidae. It is called the Arrowshaped Micrathena Micrathena sagittata. It’s a lovely spider. It largely preys on leafhoppers and if alarmed will quickly drop out of its web onto the ground, hence sightings are not common. It is a shy spider."
