These were common on the ocean beach. Most visiting (sitting on) Camphorweed flowers.

I don't know what this could be. Any other pics?

 
Although I have other shots,
Although I have other shots, they are really all from the same angle/pose, and wouldn't have anything to add. Many are overexposed because it was very sunny and with much glare. All of these flies looked like the same thing, and they were pretty skittish. I first thought that they were Villa's, but realized that the abdomens were too wide and had too many stripes. Not sure that I had ever see/noticed this before. I was out looking for Schinia's.
