It seems I found a female 20 minutes north of you in Orillia. Unfortunately, it was in my house and not the outdoors as nature intended.

Ectobius sylvestris
Thanks, Donald. Moved from Ectobius to new species page.

Ectobius sylvestris
I have held off on this one for awhile, because it didn't look like E. lapponicus, which is common in New Hampshire and spreading west. Another introduced species in central New York is E. sylvestris, which has now been collected in northern New York according to Rick Hoebeke, and in googling some European images this looks like the best placement. It may well be a new country record for Canada.

Ectobius.
The genus is correct, but not sure of the species. Nice images!
