Cross orbweaver? - Araneus cavaticus - female

Cross orbweaver? - Araneus cavaticus - Female
Fredericton, York County, New Brunswick, Canada
August 14, 2011
Size: 8/14/11
This resembles a cross orb weaver, but the body is gray instead of pale yellow. Is this colour difference due to she being gravid? The cross spider is abundant on my property.

Moved
Moved from Orb Weavers. I'm always happy to see this species because they aren't posted that often compared to some of these other species.
