I think this is a trapdoor spider but does anyone know what kind?

Ummidia sp.
The clearly-visible saddle-shaped depression on the third leg is diagnostic for the genus Ummidia. A very nice find!

 
I found one like this here in
I found one like this here in Louisville, KY crawling up the wall of my mom's house; it was pretty scary at first. I had it in a spider container for a long time before it died. What a great spider! Are these types rare, because I have only seen two in my lifetime? They definitely look like they would hurt if they bit.
