Phantom Crane Fly - Bittacomorpha clavipes

Phantom Crane Fly - Bittacomorpha clavipes
Bainbridge, Chenango County, New York, USA
August 24, 2011
I have been trying to get some information on Phantome Crane Flies and thought if I posted a picture someone might be able to help. I have been monotoring them at a certain sight and noticed a difference in size. This photo is of one of the larger ones ( a male Clavipes ) and I was wondering if the Jonesi ( supposedly smaller )could be found at the same sight and what would be the identifying characteristics of the Jonesi?

Legs
Bittacomorphella does not have swollen legs, and B. jonesi has a different color pattern than Bittacomorpha clavipes.
