Finally caught!! - Podisus maculiventris - Female
Atco, Camden County, New Jersey, USA
August 30, 2011
Size: 10mm?
Finally caught the egg-laying (last one!) scene!!! (5:55pm)
She layed 15 eggs on blade of grass. It was shady area and I took pictures with the flash on...
I'll keep an eye on eggs!

Eggs
Can you submit a close up of just the eggs? It would be nice for the life cycle on the info page.

Heck
If you guys need a better picture of eggs, I'm running several colonies of P. mac right now. I'm getting a new lens piece in soon that should help with it too.

Yeah
I'll leave it to Andrew. I don't have good eggs image...

Nice!
The eggs will darken and turn red before hatching. The process should take around 5 or so days. Hopefully they don't get parasitized!

As of 9/25...
I don't see parasite or damage, but nothing happened... :(

She might not have been mated
They'll lay unfertilized eggs if they can't find a mate.

Finally Caught
Patience pays off. Nice shot.
