Cotton Scale - Icerya purchasi - Female
Gainesville, Florida, USA

This cotton scale was prevalent on a Powder Puff plant in the Gainesville area. The plant was likely acquired from a nursery elsewhere in Florida. I am sure this is a female and am looking for the scientific designation. Thanks in advance.
