Aristotelia roseosuffusella, lateral - Aristotelia roseosuffusella

Aristotelia roseosuffusella, lateral - Aristotelia roseosuffusella
Puccoon Prairie, Polk County, Iowa, USA
September 6, 2011
Size: 6 mm
Emerged but found dead 1-September-2011.
T. Harrison corrected my ID and added: "The picture I am getting is that, whereas most Aristotelia spp. are specialists on only one or two plant spp., A. roseosuffusella is a generalist on quite an extensive array of different legumes; so, your rearing now allows us to add L. capitata to the growing hostplant list for A. roseosuffusella.
