Also, these guys are pretty cooperative. Shot some more today. They seem to come out more in the heat; it was 103 degrees, a near record for the park, on the day I took this photo.

Yes this family loves the heat and the desert... It was the only thing flying in the midday heat in the Sahara in Egypt... They are some strange flies...

Very cooperative
I'm watching these small bee flies, hoping one will land within somewhat easy reach, then this guy plunks down about 2' away. Thanks, Martin, for the id.
