Parcoblatta pennsylvanica
Fontenelle Forest, Bellevue, Sarpy County, Nebraska, USA
September 26, 2011
Size: approx. 18 mm
We think this might be a female native wood cockroach. Can anyone help with ID?
Thanks,

Pennsylvania Wood Cockroach
Thanks, Alan, for your help. These cockroach IDs are really tricky and difficult for us.

Cockroach nymph
I suspect that it is an immature male
Parcoblatta
cockroach, based on the apparent wing buds seen and the look of the posterior abdomen. Immature wood cockroaches are poorly described and so it is hard to be certain of a species, or even the genus.
