I was thinking about that too, but this one's much smaller, about half the size of the Xylophagidae.

 
Size variation
is considerable in this species, but 8 mm does seem a bit low.

I wasn't able to get an accurate size, but it looked small. It could have been 10-12mm at the biggest.
