probable hairstreak caterpillars feeding on Globe Mallow (Sphaeralcea sp.) - Calligrapha serpentina

Size: 1-2 cm
I found several of these caterpillars feeding on globe mallow bushes. Most were gregarious like these in the photo. My best guess is Gray Hairstreak because they feed on mallow
