Brown Marmorated Stink Bug? - Halyomorpha halys

Brown Marmorated Stink Bug? - Halyomorpha halys
Dearborn, Wayne County, Michigan, USA
October 5, 2011
Believed to be the brown marmorated stink bug; first image for the state on the site I believe.

Thanks for adding this data point
BMSB was confirmed to have been found in Michigan as early as January of this year, but this is the first specimen we have on bugguide. You may want to consider contacting an extension person to ensure that they're aware of BMSB in your county. And if you see more, you might want to try to catch them to give them to extension agents. See http://www.msue.msu.edu/portal/default.cfm?pageset_id=25744&page_id=25770&msue_portal_id=25643

Thanks!
