Jumping Bush Cricket - Orocharis saltator - female

Jumping Bush Cricket - Orocharis saltator - Female
Wildwood Park; Radford, Virginia, USA
October 7, 2011
Is this a katydid? If so, what kind, please? If not, what is it? Its antennae are very long.

most likely correct
However, there is a chance it is Orocharis luteolira, which also occurs in Virginia, and which is distinguished by song (at least late in the year, before about August, adults would probably all be that other species, because it has an early and a late generation, while O. saltator only has one fairly late generation).

Moved from Grasshoppers, Crickets, Katydids.

Thanks,
David, I appreciate that info. Sorry I couldn't get a recording:)

Maybe...
Jumping Bush Cricket?

Yep!
I think you're correct, Yurika. Thanks!
Cricket was my first thought when I saw the critter, but I wondered about the very long antennae.
