Carpelimus occiduus - Carpelimus bilineatus - female

Carpelimus occiduus - Carpelimus bilineatus - Female
California, USA
Carpelimus occiduus (Casey, 1889)
- a western species, known from "California, San Mateo Co." and "California, Hydesville, Val. of Eel River (branch Van Dusen), Humboldt Co.". Only two females exist and it would be very important to know the male. The very strong pronotal sculpture broadly along the sides and rather reddish coloration makes it distinctive. I suspect this species to occur from the middle of California all the way north to BC.
