And it would be a really nice find with a Jerusalem Cricket here in the northeast:-)

yes, it is a Jerusalem Cricket
Probably the same species as the long-winged male and the female from the same place. Maybe one of these centuries I'll get time to try and sort through some more of these creatures and get some to the species (or at least genus).

One of these males having long and one short wings brings this to mind. Some Crickets (maybe these too) will shed their hind wings when molested (an escape mechanism of sorts???); and, apparently, at least in some species, the hind wings of the males are eaten by the females while they mate (protein source?). So, a short-winged Cricket might actually be a long-winged Cricket with no hind wings anymore (usually though, I think they are just short-winged).
