Gnaphosidae - Drassodes neglectus - Female
Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA
August 14, 2004
Found in beach margin ( i.e. grass, beach stone, and soil ) under stones. Seems to be common in marshland too. I have only seen it there under stones. Male is 9mm. Females 14mm. Females recently seen with spiderlings in silk enclosure, beneath stone. I will not image. They were disturbed by overturning stones. Nocturnal. I believe I have seen the male once long ago. It is considerably smaller and darker.

Moved
Moved from Sac Spiders.

Do the males appear the same?
This female kinda reminded me of the female in this pairing:

I erred
This is a small female as it turns out. This late in the season I was unable to locate the male. I goofed.
