What kind of orb weaver places her egg sac at the center of the web and stays with it? We have many cross orb weavers here, but the adult females are at least twice this size, and they deposit egg sacs in sheltered places and do not guard.

Oh, right
I didn't think of Cyclosa, because the trash was missing and the sac surface was fuzzy. This web looked new yesterday; no prey in it.
