I found out that the Black Bee Fly only occurs in Eastern North America ???

Thevenemyia sp (Bombyliidae)
Several species of Thevenemyia bee flies live in southern BC -- I'm not sure which one this is. In some older literature included in the genus Eclimus, now considered European.

Stiletto Fly?
To me this looks like a Stiletto Fly of some kind, but I might be mistaken...
