Stonefly Nymph

Stonefly Nymph
Seneca Rocks, Pendleton County, West Virginia, USA
June 20, 2006
Crawling on rocks in fast-flowing, shallow mountain river.

ID confirmation, correction, or elaboration appreciated.

Not Perlodidae
Although easy to mistake for one of the Perlodidae, this is actually one of the smaller perlids. The branched gills and hairy legs give it away. It might be Perlesta.

Thanks
Thanks for your help with this one, Don!

Moved from Stoneflies.

Perlodidae
Have no idea which genus - doesn't look like anything from our area.
