Small fly - Toxomerus marginatus
Davis, Yolo County, California, USA

Size: Approximately 0.3 -0.7 cm
A few of these were buzzing around a rose bush and Ipomoea sp. vine while secreting a liquid where they stopped, the pictures could possible depict more then one specimen.
