Is this a Sandhills Hornet? - Vespula pensylvanica - Female

It was about 5/8" and I think its a sandhills horney . Would appreciate any other suggestions etc.

Sorry, this is a worker of the western yellow jacket, Vespula pensylvanica (not a misspelling:-). There is a great book on "Yellow Jackets of America North of Mexico" by Roger Akre. Don't know if it is still available, but it is a superb reference. Maybe Troy or Pat can post a link? Sooner or later we should be able to get images of nearly all the North American Vespula and Dolichovespula up here.
