Delphinia picta

Delphinia picta
Arlington, Northern, Virginia, USA
August 5, 2004
ID by Dr. Allen Norrbom, USDA. Ulidiidae family. They breed in decaying vegetation. They're common around my yard, especially in the evening. Very little on the internet on this family. Great to finally put a name on it!
