Gold colored dragonfly, female red darner? - Sympetrum vicinum

Gold colored dragonfly, female red darner? - Sympetrum vicinum
Bedford, Nova Scotia, Canada
September 18, 2011
Size: about 5cm long body
Thought this might be a female red darner dragonfly, I think females are gold colored, males red? Lots of red darner's nearby.

Moved from ID Request.

Autumn meadowhawk
Darners are in the family Aeshnidae and there is no red darner in N. America. Meadowhawks are in the family Libellulide. Autumn meadowhawk is distinguished my yellow legs in combination with a pale red face and relatively unmarked abdomen

thanks !
Great response, thanks for the clarification, can't remember where I picked up ther name red darner but will go with the meadowhawks naming now on.
