Staphylinid - Anacyptus testaceus

Staphylinid - Anacyptus testaceus
Carr Canyon, Cochise County, Arizona, USA
October 13, 2011
Size: ~1.1mm
Found a good number of these on the moist underside of a stump that was sitting on sandy soil near creek, lower parking area. When I first saw them, I could have sworn they were Limulodes. But there was really no ant nest to speak of under the stump, so kinda ruled that out.

All pics taken with automontage system. Actual montaging done with CombineZP.
