Hey Mike,
I'd favor Neoharmonia venusta ampla on this one. Check out Gordon['84] fig. 678e, the pronotum on 678g, and his key to genera on p682. The pattern is much closer to what yours shows. And overall the body of yours, while "broad", doesn't appear to have the "hulking" broad shoulders of Olla. He reports N. v. ampla from Brownsville Tx.

Regardless, a truly amazing ladybird!

 
I was just thinking....
it looked like a combination of Olla v-nigrum and Neoharmonia venusta! The pronotum is pure Neoharmonia....those elytra are really odd though.
