Unknown Stick Caterpillar - Euchlaena

Unknown Stick Caterpillar - Euchlaena
Jackson , Ocean County, New Jersey, USA
June 29, 2011
I know this is some sort of stick caterpillar, I wonder what kind.

This is what I had come up with at first, it was really hard to narrow it down and I still feel unsure:

I feel like I've narrowed my stick caterpillar down to this:

A Common Gray (Anavitrinella pampinaria) stick caterpillar.

Moved
Moved from Geometrid Moths.

The swelling on the abdomen looks farther forward
on yours, making it rather, we would think, something in Euchlaena, Wagner pg 172

Thank you!
I'll definitely check that out, I really appreciate your having looked and let me know!

Maybe?
Not an ID.

Geometrid Moths (Geometridae)

For sure.
May be hard to ID past family, but those specialized anal prolegs definitely give the family away.

Thank you both so much!
I really appreciate your input! I still touch twigs on trees as I pass by hoping to see another. The mimicking was amazing.
