Gryllus veletis
Kennebunk, York County, Maine, USA
November 9, 2011
Size: 1 cm
Found in tall grass. Seems too small for a spring field cricket nymph, yet too early for a fall field cricket nymph. What could it be?

I'd bet on Spring Field Cricket
should overwinter and mature in the Spring. During winter you can often find nymphs of assorted ages all together in the same place.
