Wolf Spider? -
Alopecosa kochi
Manteca, San Joaquin County, California, USA
November 15, 2011
Size: Quarter Sized
Pretty sure this is a wolf spider. No idea the family, genus, etc... but it was a fun photo to take.

Any dorsal images?
Did you take some dorsal shots... and heck while I'm asking.. any ventrals? It is a wolf spider. Do you see that black mark under the femur? It reminds me of
I'm not sure how many other wolf spider may have that same mark though.

Sorry no
When I took these shots, I was more taking them for artistic purposes rather than worrying about identifying the spider. After seeing some of the comments and other photos here though, I will definitely take the time to get more angles.
