Cicada - Okanagana rimosa

Cicada - Okanagana rimosa
Square Butte, Little Missouri National Grassland, Golden Valley County, North Dakota, USA
June 15, 2004

Moved
Moved from Cicadas.

There are three similar looking species with potentailly overlapping ranges.

"short recipe list for id"
Okanagana rimosa (usu. more patterned and orangish)
O. canadensis (usu. darker with more contrasting yellowish pattern)
O. balli (smallest member and typically associated with Prairies)

Okanagana sp. (rimosa)
Looks like O. rimosa, perhaps one of the more "common", variable and rather widespread members of this Genus.
