Broad jump wasp - Bicyrtes quadrifasciatus - female

Broad jump wasp - Bicyrtes quadrifasciatus - Female
South Georgia, Ware County, Georgia, USA
June 24, 2006
Size: 1.2 cm.
This wasp is feeding on swamp cyrilla along the banks of the Satilla River. Cyrilla racemiflora, a bush hosts many insects.

Female
6 abdominal segments = ♀
Lack of a pseudo-stinger = ♀

Different specimen?
This one seems to have a thinner abdomen than the one at the nest, which is obviously a female. This may turn out to be a male.
Please, don't link them if you are not absolutely sure that they are the same specimen.

They are two different specim
They are two different specimens. I'm not sure why they are linked but I will unlink them. Thanks Beatriz.
