The emargination is dead-on for pugnax..however size seems to be an issue here...

Its dead-on for pugnax but the size had given me 2nd thoughts about it.

 
found another B. pugnax female
from same county that is larger, within the size range. Elytral pattern and other characters match this previous one, so it must just be a small B. pugnax

5th abdominal sternite
Did you check the posterior emargination, whether or not it has a shallow median notch?
