I now believe this is Naupactus cervinus, Fuller rose beetle, based on the info page on BG for this species. It says there that the oblique short white band on the sides of the elytra are diagnostic.
Also compare this lateral view with some of the lateral views among the BG images. There's the white streak running between teh abdomen and
thorax segments.
Do you agree, v?
PS> This species has also been found in this state in October and December.
