Moved
Moved from Giant House Spider.
The taxonomic changes were reversed.

Moved
Moved from Eratigena atrica. Some taxonomic changes effected this species - http://bugguide.net/node/view/832892.

Moved
Moved from Tegenaria. Based on size and location I went ahead and moved to species page.

Do you remember ...
what the source was for the North American range of E. atrica? I had difficulty tracking it down a while back when I edited the genus info. page and someone just asked me about it.

I don’t remember. :(
I’ll look through my books tonight. It might have been info I got from Rod Crawford.

Thanks.
I don't remember seeing them last night but Jeff added some provinces to his post so no need to go crazy looking for it. Rod Crawford was my suspicion.

Jeff Hollenbeck ...
sort of answered my question but it seems to be in a paper I don't have access to so I still don't know which provinces it's known from if you happen to recall.

Moved
Moved from ID Request. It certainly does look like Tegenaria. We call the Giant House Spider - Tegenaria gigantea. You can see the info page for an explanation. Because of range I don't think that species is possible here. I think this one could actually be T. atrica.
