I was just told by Rick Westcott that the genus Cypriacis was moved back to a subgenus of Buprestis. I do not have the citation for the work that mentions the change but I should have it soon.

I was with George Walters on Mount Pinos, Kern County this past June and a beautiful specimen of this species landed on George. It certainly made his day. I only managed Buprestis aurulenta.
