Cricket nymph - Falcicula hebardi - male

Cricket nymph - Falcicula hebardi - Male
Atco, Camden County, New Jersey, USA
December 15, 2011
Size: 5mm?
Sorry not good background color... Found on fallen leaf in grassy area.

Moved
Moved from Say's Trig.

I wasn't paying close enough attention
I should have looked more closely at the shape of the head; that's what gives it away. Even so, I didn't know Say's Bush Crickets overwintered as nymphs either

Moved from True Crickets.

perhaps a very young Ground Cricket,
perhaps genus Allonemobius. The date is interesting, I didn't know any Ground Crickets overwintered as nymphs, but this seems to imply that at least this particular species (whatever it is) can do so, or at least might.
