Hippodamia parenthesis (Say)
Correct, this is Hippodamia parenthesis (Say). This species has vanished over the past several decades from Nova Soctia, perhaps as a result of competition with adventive species of lady beetles. It's encouraging to see that it continues to survive in areas like Madawaska, Kent, and York counties in New Brunswick.
