IDNature site suggests Bombus citrinus or B. variabilis, neither of which are in the guide so I can't confirm. On milkweed.

that explains my frustrations lately at trying to image such "slow-moving bumble bees"! What are the visual cues that differentiate - besides speed.

wing venation to differentiate Bombus from Anthophora.
