This poor thing was stuck upside-down to sludge in a concrete moat surrounding a big tank of fertilizer. I thought it was dead but it started flopping around after I pulled it out.

The meandering line near the outer margin of the forewing reminds me of a side-view of molars in a jawbone.

That's sad. I feel sorry for it. Hopefully you will find one that's not in a sticky end.
