Prionyx sp on Alkali Goldenbush - Prionyx

Prionyx sp on Alkali Goldenbush - Prionyx
Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, San Diego County, California, USA
October 11, 2005
Size: 12-13 mm
THis Prionyx sp was seen on Alkali Goldenbush near the Mountain Palm Springs palm oasis. It has a lot of silvery pubescence on the head, thorax and at least the fore and mid legs. The red and black abdomen somewhat resembles P. parkeri, #575180. Is it possible to get this Prionyx to species? Any help will be much appreciated.
