Winter Fly - Campiglossa
Selah, Yakima County, Washington, USA

Size: 1/8 inch
Was walking out to check the mail when I spotted this little dipteran on the fence. Outside temperature was 36ºF according to the weather channel but the actual local temp may have been a few degrees cooler. This fly was alive and active although slothly in its movements.
